Are you ready for a honey breakfast?
Granola
This popular breakfast is increasingly becoming a snack, healthy snack or even a replacement for the main meal. Each crunchy bite, packed with nutrients, will provide you with high energy levels throughout the day.
INGREDIENTS
- ¼ cup Apimel flower honey
- 2 cups of oatmeal
- 1 cup of nuts to taste
- ¼ cup oil ¼ cup brown sugar (can be reduced to taste)
- 1 egg white 1 cup dried fruit (optional)
Spices:
- ¼ teaspoon of ground ginger
- ¼ teaspoon ground cloves
- ¼ teaspoon nutmeg
- ½ teaspoon cinnamon
- a little salt
PREPARATION
- Preheat the oven to 150 °C.
- Coarsely chop the nuts and mix them with spices and salt.
- Mix honey, brown sugar and oil, add dry ingredients and mix everything well with a spoon.
- Beat the egg white until foamy, add it to the mixture and gently mix everything together.
- Place baking paper on a baking sheet and spread the mixture evenly over the entire surface. Bake for about 30 minutes, until golden-yellow. Do not touch the mixture during baking, it must remain in one piece. Once baked, place it in the refrigerator and after it cools, break it into smaller pieces.
TIPS:
- Chop the granola depending on the meal, for example, smaller if you eat it for breakfast with milk or yogurt. Coarse if you eat it as a crunchy snack or mid-morning snack.
- Add dried fruit to granola, store in a jar, and you have a healthy meal for the whole week.
- If you increase the amount of honey and omit the egg white, the granola can be kept in a sealed jar for up to a month (but it will certainly be used up sooner).
